Side Event: HR Defenders on Accountability and Good Governance in Sri Lanka

A side event will be held on 24th June at HRC 32 where four Sri Lankan human rights activists will share their thoughts on Aacountability and good governance in Sri Lanka.  The event is organised by IMDAR, Forum Asia and Franciscan International.

Further the event will share progress and challenges in the implementation of HRC resolution “Promoting reconciliation, accountability and human rights in Sri Lanka” (A/HRC/RES/30/1) while focusing on the issues of accountability and good governance. This event will aim to shed light on the role of the international community in the country’s transitional justice process.
