Three former service commanders have been cleared by the Parliamentary High Posts Committee to take up top diplomatic assignments.
The Parliament announced that Admiral (retd.) Ravindra Chandrasiri Wijegunaratne has been named the new High Commissioner to Pakistan, Admiral (retd.) Damith Nishantha Sirisoma Ulugetenne as new Ambassador to Cuba and Air Chief Marshal (retd.) Sudarshan Karagoda Pathirana as the new Ambassador to Nepal.
