Ranil Rajapaksa’s failed HSZ in another name: Police ASP Dilruk “prohibits” any protest in Colombo city!

Assistant Superintendent of Police Dilruk, who is sending a letter to former Member of Parliament Hirunika Pemavandra, a leader of the women’s wing of the Samagi Jana Balawega, states that the protest march to be held today at 3 pm and the campaign in front of the Fort railway station will not be allowed.

According to the letter, no protest will be allowed to be held in Colombo city to protect the economy and public life. The letter states that the protest cannot be allowed as it will cause loss to the economy and inconvenience to the public.

This is an attempt to bring back some effects of the failed High Security Zone in the back door.

These repressive measures of Ranil Rajapaksa’s government will not strengthen the economy or people’s lives of Sri Lanka, but will make country more unstable, further isolate the country internationally and thereby will not help to revive the  economy, experts say.
