Journalist Tharindu Uduwaragedara’s arrest case: Magistrate warns police.

During the hearing of journalist Tharindu Uduwaragedara’s arrest case, Magistrate Rajindra Jayasuriya of Aluthkade Court No. 02 sternly warned the police for their actions.

This admonishment was delivered during the Magistrate’s proceedings on August 29, when the hearing regarding the arrest was conducted.

Despite the police’s announcement of other suspects linked to the incident, these suspects were not produced for an entire month.

The Magistrate emphasized that the case’s continuation lacked justification.
The proceedings were adjourned until October 24.

Tharindu Uduwaragedara was represented by lawyer, Manushika Kure.

Uduwaragedara was arrested while covering a protest march organized by the Labor Struggle Center on July 28.
