Bribery & Corruption Commission issues a notice to Mahinda Rajapaksa

The Bribery or Corruption Commission has issued a special notice directing former President Mahinda Rajapaksa to provide a declaration of assets and liabilities through an affidavit before April 10.

The Bribery Commission has reportedly directed Mahinda Rajapaksa to provide this declaration in connection with an investigation initiated in 2015 into Mahinda Rajapaksa’s assets and liabilities.

It is stated that this letter has been notified to provide information on the assets and liabilities of Rajapaksa and his family between the years 2010 and 2015.

It has also been stated that since this investigation has been delayed for a long time, no further time will be given to provide the necessary information after April 10.
