Last week a fish vendor was found dead in Grandpass after he was abducted by an unknown group in Mutuwal the previous day.
A similar incident was reported in December in Orugodawatta when a prominent fish vendor was abducted by men in camouflage uniforms. But he returned home the next after he was assaulted and robbed by the suspects. (Supun Dias)
