Issuing a statement Bishops of the Anglican Church of Ceylon has called for President Rajapaksa and Prime Minister Wickremasinghe to resign immediately. The statement says that Gotabaya Rajapaksa has to take personal responsibility for driving the country in to bankruptcy. It expresses solidarity with protestors and says that there is no legitimacy for the movement to remain in power.
