When the case was taken up before Colombo Fort Magistrate Priyatha Liyanage, the CID also informed that Hezbullah had currently infected with COVID-19 and said further investigations are being carried out on the incident.
Having produced the PCR report, the CID told the Magistrate that a group of suspects are infected with COVID-19 including underworld kingpin Kosgoda Tharaka, who is currently being interrogated.
The CID informed the Court that Hezbullah is currently receiving treatment at the Kalutara Police Training College, COVID-19 treatment centre, under supervision of the CID.
