Sri Lanka: Two more retired Major Generals appointed to run civilian institutions.

Major General (Retd) Prasad Samarasinghe Appointed Chief Manager Of Lotus Tower Colombo

Sri Lanka Government has appointed two more Retired Major Generals to rin civilian institutions.

Retired Major General Prasad Samarasinghe has been appointed the Chief Manager of the  Chinese built   Lotus Tower project, Colombo.

Samarasinghe was the chief coordinator of the construction project of Lotus Tower during the Rajapaksa rule between 2012 and 2015.

He also served as the Army Spokesman and the Director Media of the Sri Lanka Army at the height of the Eelam war.

Retired Major General Vijitha Ravipriya has been appointed as the new Director-General of Sri Lanka Customs.

Former Customs Director-General Ms. PSM Charles was appointed as Northern Province Governor in December 2019.

Major General Vijitha Ravipriya held the office of the Commander Security Forces – Kilinochchi as his last appointment, prior to his retirement.
