Sri Lanka President’s Fund: Established for the Poor, Used by the Powerful!

⭕ The President’s Fund, established in 1978, had clear objectives: Relief of poverty, awards for those who rendered service to the nation etc.

⭕ Today, Minister Nalinda Jayatissa revealed part of the list of prominent individuals who received financial aid from the President’s Fund:

⭕ It has essentially become a no-premium insurance claim service for MPs, Ministers, Prime Ministers, and their families.
