Sri Lanka police to confiscate property of those who fail to obey their orders to quarantine

275 workers appeared at these locations to undergo processing on Wednesday (07), said DIG Ajith Rohana and 125 workers appeared at these locations on Thursday (08).

DIG Ajith Rohana said if there is any worker attached to the cluster who is yet to be placed in quarantine, such individuals must report to the nearest police station for processing.

He said Thursday is the final day for apparel workers to subject themselves to quarantine and those who continue to avoid being moved to quarantine face strict action as per the Quarantine & Prevention of Diseases Ordinance.

Further, moveable and immovable property of such people will be seized by the authorities, said the Deputy Police Chief.
