Government controlled Sri Lanka Broadcasting Corporation has stopped live broadcast of Parliamentary proceedings as illegally appointed PM Rajapaksa has been defeated on number of occasions and now boycotting the parliamentary sessions.
Speaker Karu Jayasuriya has promised to look into the matter.
Speaker was notified that Sri Lanka Broadcasting Corporation has stopped live broadcast of Parliamentary proceedings. Speaker says the matter has already been discussed with Secretary General since Parliament pays SLBC for this coverage under an agreement. #couplk #lka

Mean while JVP MP Bimal Rathnayaka says:
#couplk – Parliament is defeating it. Judiciary is defeating it. People are defeating. So how does it survive? The coup is being legitimised & kept alive by black media networks who are dependent on Rajapaksa for power & Sirisena for business contracts: Bimal Ratnayake

On reporting Rajapaksa as the PM:
Speaker must take steps to check media. Despite ruling on Nov 15 that cabinet stands dissolved newspapers & other media describe an MP as PM. Even parliament website still says MR is PM. Instruct private and state media because this is a breach of P'ment privilege: @MASumanthiran
