LLRC says draft-copy will not be sent CW
The Commonwealth Committee expects the report of the Lessons Learnt and Reconciliation Commission (LLRC) to be submitted at the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting in Perth, Australia later this month.

However the LLRC insists the report will only be made available next month as had been previously announced and a draft-copy will not be given before that.

Amitav Banerji, Director of Political  Affairs at the Commonwealth Secretariat was quoted by PTI yesterday as saying that while the LLRC is expected to submit its report next month it might be presented to the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting in Australia and the end of this month.

The Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM )will be held in Perth, Australia from 28 to 30 October and President Mahinda Rajapaksa is expected to attend the sessions.
LLRC spokesperson Lakshman Wickramasinghe told The Sunday Leader, “The LLRC report will be ready only next year. There is no possibility of the report being sent in advance to Australia. Our deadline is November 15, but we hope to have the report ready a few days earlier.”
