A spokesman for the group said that the motive appeared to be delaying the distribution of the paper, JVP (DNA) MP Vijitha Herath said that since there was a dispute over the publication they had lodged a complaint with the police.

“There is no body to take responsibility of  any news item which is published. Therefore until the dispute is resolved we do not want the publication released”, Mr Herath.

Some 20,000 copies printed in a press at Ratmalana was held back.
