The General Secretary of the JVP Tilvin Silva has complained to the Commissioner of Elections again regarding the endless obstruction that are being carried out against political activities of the party in the North.
The officers of the security services had pledged that they would take measures to stop all obstructions for political activities in the North at the discussions held yesterday (13th) between representatives of political parties and officers of security services. However, in a letter to the Commissioner of Elections the General Secretary of the JVP has informed that yesterday itself members of security services had obstructed a meeting held by the party at Akkarayan Kulam Saththamkatti area.
He has asked the Commissioner of Elections to immediately intervene to establish a peaceful environment so that all political parties could engage in their political work in the North.
