The residence is alleged to have been purchased in the name of Shiranthi Rajapaksa, spouse of former President Mahinda Rajapaksa.
According to sources, the complaint was lodged by a civil society activist and asserts that Mahinda Rajapaksa and his family occupied the property from 2001 until his assumption of the presidency.
