Independence of Judiciary: Church calls upon not to attack the last bastion of the protection of people

Malcolm Cardinal Ranjith, in a press release on recent govt statements criticising judges who gave certain rulings, stresses that  Independence is the lifeblood of the judiciary and  it can not be subordinate to govt/legislature.

And it  emphasis that Government must desist from attacking it.
