The Member of the Political Bureau of the JVP Parliamentarian Anura Dissanayake says there should be diplomatic negotiations between India and Sri Lanka but these should be carried out on mutual respect and they should protect sovereignty of each country.
Mr. Dissanayake said India has entered the power and energy, economic and other sectors in the island, follows an agenda to protect and enlarge its interests in Sri Lanka and wants to create a political environment in the island that would suit its interests.
He said this is why India’s National Security Advisor gives instructions and directives to the government of Sri Lanka. Meanwhile, Rajapaksa government has become an idiotic and spineless administration before the Indian government he pointed out asking how could Menon meet the President and go back in an hour. He said it is due to the idiotic policy of Rajapaksa government.
