President Mahinda Rajapaksa today noted the threat of Facebook being used to push for regime change in Sri Lanka. Speaking at an election rally in Hanwella, the President said that the youth and being drawn to believe false propaganda using Facebook.
He said that one should question if change should be sought in a country for the good or bad or just for the sake of having change. The President said that some people are now claiming he will face the same fate as former Libyan leader Muhammad Gaddafi.
