Excavations at the Colombo Port have uncovered eight human skeletons, according to Senior Professor Raj Somadeva, who is leading the project.
According to News first, he confirmed that two skeletons have already been excavated and are now under police protection.
The third phase of the dig is set to begin on October 17th. The discovery of the skeletal remains was first made on July 13th, prompting two phases of excavation thus far. Authorities are continuing their investigation to shed light on the origins and context of these remains. (Newswire)
