In a letter to Director General of Health Services (DGHS) and to Inspector General of Police the Bar Association of Sri Lanka (BASL) has requested him not to allow Health Guidelines in a manner which has a chilling effect on the freedom to dissent in Sri Lanka.
It further espressos its concern of the excessive force by the police in dealing with the protestors on numerous occasions.
