The Sri Lankan delegation to the UNHRC would be a smaller group compared to the number that went last year, said External Affairs Ministry Secretary, K. Amunugama.
He, however, added the government has not as yet decided on the composition of the delegation to Geneva to represent Sri Lanka at the UNHRC sessions in March.
Sri Lanka has addressed many of the LLRC recommendations and will… …address more of them in the coming weeks, before the Geneva meeting, the Secretary said.
He said the government is prepared to ‘face any challenges’ at the UNHRC.
“We heard of speculation that another resolution will be passed on Sri Lanka but so far nothing has been officially confirmed. We are ready to face any challenge. We have clearly stated our position on the LLRC report, the impeachment of the former Chief Justice, and several other issues pertaining to the recent developments that took place in the country. We have already expressed our stand to many nations. We will not present a report but our delegation which is going to be few in number will be prepared to face any challenge
