Canadian immigration orders deportation of Mrs Pararajasingam, to demonstrate conservatives Anti immigration policy before Parliamentary elections.

HEARTLESS AND CALLOUS DECISION BY THE CONSERVATIVE MINISTER FOR IMMIGRATION, JASON KINNEY.

In one of the most callous and wanton decisions made by the Canadian immigration services, with utter disregard to the 72 year old wife of former Tamil TNA Parliamentarian, late Joseph Pararajasingam, issued DEPORTATION orders on her last week.

Tamils worldwide, and  Toronto, Canada in particular feel the Conservative Minister’s action, cruel, and heartless. Without showing the magnanimity of Canada, where Mrs. Pararajasingam seeked safety  and security after her husband, a Tamil member of Parliament was assassinated by paramilitary, quisling forces connected to the RAJAPAKSE government, and former LTTE breakaways, current appointed MP Karuna, and Chief Minister Pillaiyan, immigration services ordered the deportation.

Tamils are deeply anguished and shocked, and sources close to the family confirm that she will use whatever legal recourses that  are available to stop the deportation, and seek permanent stay in Canada, until conditions improve in Sri Lanka or she dies of natural causes. Mrs Sugunam Pararajasingam  who suffered serious gunshot injuries, during the assassination on Christmas midnight mass at the St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Batticaloa in 2005 has a son and daughter in Toronto, Canada, who are citizens of the country.

Despite having such close family connections, and hundreds of relatives, Canada, still thought it fit to deport her, making a claim that she was a SECURITY RISK  for Canada. TNA was closely associated to the LTTE they claim, and her husband being an MP therefore was a LTTE front, says the immigration officials, justifying their claim that the 72 year old widow was a security risk and therefore she has to be deported.

One of her husband’s long time colleague in the party, and member of Parliament, Deputy Leader of TNA Mavai Senathirajah is scheduled to visit USA and Canada around the 20th of May. He is to be accompanied by the well respected,  senior attorney and new MP Sumanthiran.

Mrs Pararajasingam has been supportive of the NDP Tamil candidate, Rathika Sitsaibesan in the forthcoming elections in the Toronto area, where many Tamils reside. The 29 year old Tamil candidate tapped her support and used her respected image in the community to win over former Liberal and Conservative Tamil voters.

This decision could also affect the other Tamil candidate, Ragavan Paramchothy, who is contesting from the perdominat Tamil Riding of Scarborough, and perennial Conservative candidate Chuck Konkel. The resentment against the Conservatives could be substantial in the entire GTA area.

Mrs. Pararajasingam’s son  Subbakanthan has been also dabbling in Tamil politics, fund raising and formed in 2008 a Tamil HR association with some Tamil friends, called the JUSTICE FOR THAMILS, AFTER GRABBING  the attorney Bruce Fein, who was contracted with the pioneering HR investigations organization in the USA, Tamils For Justice.  Within a month they folded and joined the new Tamils Against Genocide, owned by Sreetharan, (Law Student Rajeev Sreetharan’s father), using the same T4J attorney, Bruce Fein. Sreetharan also owns the Tamil Net, and was the De Facto head of TRO USA until it was banned a few years ago.Canadian immigration orders deportation of Mrs Pararajasingam, to demonstrate conservatives Anti immigration policy before Parliamentary elections.
