Former Chief of Defence Staff Major General Sathyapriya Liyanage has been appointed as ‘Head of the Anti-Corruption Policy and Implementation Unit’ of the Samagi Jana Balawegaya.
He has obtained the party membership and the appointment letter from Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa.
He has served as the Chief of Army Staff, served as the Commander of the Army Volunteer Force and as the Commander of the Western Security Forces Headquarters.
Earlier former Army Commander Major General Daya Rathnayake also appointed as a adviser to Sajith Permadasa.
Former Commander of Sri Lanka Navy and former Chief of Defence Staff, Daya Sandagiri too joined the Samagi Jana Balawegaya few weeks back.
