‘Uthuru Vasanthaya’ at a stand still after Northern elections

Mushroom projects initiated by the Government targeting the Provincial Council elections recently have been abandoned after the election, it is reported.
Projects on electricity supply, drinking water development, and housing plus land allocations have been deserted with the removal of heavy machinery and equipment.

Action on fast development on these essential projects before the election has been limited only to the foundation stones.  People in Kilinochchi, Kyts, Palai, Udyar Katti, Wallipuram, Devipuram and Mungil Ara have been stranded due to the stoppage of these projects.

In addition hand tractors, agricultural equipment and the lamp posts brought before the election have been transported back to Anuradhapura, say the Jaffna citizens.
